The startup scene in San Francisco and The Bay Area is a robust, energetic, ecosystem that hosts plenty of opportunity for young entrepreneurs. These days most startups are affiliated with an accelerator of some sort, and the words Startup Accelerator have become synonymous with early-stage entrepreneurship.
My work at PivotDesk has put me in touch with several accelerators in Northern California (I hope to find good homes for each one of them after demo day!!!). Naturally, I wanted to organize the information I was collecting, so I made a list of organizations I’ve spoken with. In order to insure the list is comprehensive, I decided to research the accelerators I was missing. It didn’t surprise me that most of the information is old and out of date. After all, most accelerators are startups themselves.
Then I met Shyam from List.ly, who developed an application around dynamic lists, where the crowd has the ability to add, rank and sort. No more filtering through old, dated information. List.ly allows the crowd to keep it fresh.
This is my first list. Please edit as you see fit! ThanksListly error!
